Hello Long Valley United family,

We hope that you enjoyed a great holiday weekend with your families, and have continued to remain safe.  While COVID-19 has temporarily taken us off the field from cheering on our young players, we are very excited to announce some big news to our club members:

The board has approved the pursuit of a merger between the Long Valley United Soccer Club and the West Morris Soccer Club beginning with play in the Fall of 2020, in order to provide unprecedented opportunities for our region's youth soccer players! 

By combining our resources, our aim is to create a powerhouse, regionally-focused program that will blaze a new trail for how local, competitive youth soccer programs can flourish in today's environment.

With a combined pool of 500+ players from the West Morris Regional High School district and surrounding areas,  we will ensure that we continue to provide developmentally appropriate pathways all the way from rec, through travel, and into the highest levels of EDP that we simply cannot do as efficiently as independent clubs.  

With multiple teams and opportunities per age group and gender in the new combined entity, we are confident that every child in the program can find the appropriate level of play for where they are today.   By improving the tiered pathways for growth within the program, these additional offerings will also ensure that our local players can reasonably stay together all the way through high school as they progress on their journey!

By maintaining our not-for-profit status, we are able to provide the highest quality programs at a very competitive price point versus alternatives in the area.  With all Travel and Premier teams trained and coached by a single training partner, we will continue to ensure a consistent style of play at all levels, putting our children in the best possible position to have continued success at the high school level, and even on to college, if that is their path.

We are confident that this new, combined version of the West Morris Soccer Club will rise from the ashes of this spring season poised to compete with the best that our area has to offer at all levels!

Please note that this merger does not affect the Long Valley Rec Soccer Association, but we fully expect to continue the healthy, collaborative relationship that we have fostered between our two organizations as we move forward.
